On Change Makers, you’ll be lucky enough to experience several of our Planeterra projects. We just can’t tell you which ones yet.
For those of you who don’t know, Planeterra is our non-profit partner committed to turning travel into impact by helping local communities earn an income from tourism. For more info, check out the Planeterra home page for a list of our current projects. We focus on four areas – helping Women, Youth, Communities and the Environment. Rather than a handout, its a hand up.
G Adventures brings thousands of people through Planeterra’s projects every year providing income to the local people. Lack of access to education and economic opportunities continues a cycle of poverty. Planeterra works to break this cycle.
Our goal is to have 25 new projects by the end of 2020, changing almost 85,000 lives globally. So what does this mean to you? Well, we need your help!
As an Agent of Change, you’re already aligned with our values and go about changing the lives of your clients by providing them with travel memories to last a lifetime. What if, as a collective, there was a way that we could change the lives of a community and leave a lasting legacy of this Change Makers experience?!
If each Change Maker were to make a donation to Planeterra, we’d generate enough funding to have a direct impact on some of our existing projects, who are in need of support. We understand that everyone is in a different position, which is why we don’t want to nominate an amount. But your generosity will go a long way in ensuring our experience is felt by those in the communities we are visiting.
So, rather than ask for a participation fee for this upcoming adventure, we wanted to invite you to make a donation to ensure we are leading with service and providing an opportunity to the communities we will be visiting. We believe that tourism can be the greatest method of wealth distribution in the world and Change Makers is our way of sharing our vision with you.
