See How We Work

The impact you’re helping create

  • “We never imagined that travellers would visit our community before we began collaborating with Planeterra. Our village is an off-the-beaten-path destination, even though it is located near a popular tourist town. Since this partnership began, we have been so happy to welcome responsible travellers to our village.”

Aabiskar Thapa,  Founder and Managing Director – Sharing Seeds (Planeterra Community Partner in Nepal)

  • “Planeterra’s support has also provided us with valuable resources and guidance in strengthening our operations, from enhancing customer experiences to optimizing our marketing strategies. Additionally, the networking opportunities and training sessions offered by Planeterra have been instrumental in helping us build stronger connections within the tourism industry and improve our sustainability practices. As a result, we’ve been able to further invest in our community and continue to promote social inclusion and economic empowerment for our members.”

Ashwini Ragavan – Sthree Craft Shop and Cafe (Planeterra Community Partner in Sri Lanka)

  • “Planeterra’s support has been a catalyst for the growth of our community. It has helped us see new opportunities, improve our internal organization, and strengthen teamwork. We now feel better prepared to continue growing and advancing projects that not only benefit families, but also enrich our culture and natural environment. We are committed to continuing to use this support to move toward a more prosperous and sustainable future for everyone. The support we received through training and resources has allowed us to improve the management of Community Tourism, attract more visitors, and generate income for local families. We have also implemented sustainable practices, such as creating a community nursery for reforestation, which contributes to conservation and strengthens our sense of community. In addition, the support has strengthened our internal organization and youth leadership, helping us move toward a more prosperous and sustainable future. We would like to thank Planeterra for its invaluable support. The programs and services provided have strengthened our capabilities, improved the management of Community Tourism, and promoted sustainability. The training and resources have had a positive impact by creating employment, preserving our traditions, and improving the visitor experience. We appreciate Planeterra’s commitment and hope to continue working together to keep improving and achieving new goals for our community. Thank you for helping us build a better future.”
