“When G Adventures invited me on this fundraising trek I was extremely excited, yet nervous. I was excited by the challenge of climbing the tallest mountain in Africa and exploring a beautiful part of the world, and nervous to push myself to my limits both physically and emotionally on this 8 day trek. As someone who benefits from working in the travel industry and spends the majority of my time off exploring new destinations, this is the perfect opportunity for me to give something back. My aim is to raise money for social enterprises which will offer employment and empowerment to local communities. Through sharing my experience in the paper, I also hope to inspire some of the Daily Mail’s 3.3 million readers to travel responsibly and sustainably on their next trip, so this industry can be enjoyed in the years to come!”
